The Catheter laboratory are examination rooms with imaging equipment used to visualize arteries and chambers of the heart to diagnose heart disease, treat any blockage identified, and prevent heart attacks. By using advanced technology,  Jacobi’s healthcare teams are able to undertake advanced cardiac intervention capabilities and outcomes for the high-risk patient populations we serve.
  • Hyperbaric Medicine
    NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi is the only facility within the NYC Health + Hospitals system to offer Hyperbaric Medicine and the only facility in the five boroughs providing a multi-patient, walk-in chamber. Hyperbaric Medicine specialists are available 24/7 for life-threatening emergencies. Jacobi’s Hyperbaric Medicine Service is well-known and highly regarded as the long-standing primary referral site for numerous New York City, State, and Northeast region emergency response agencies. The US Navy authorizes our facility as a treatment center for US Navy personnel with diving-related illnesses and injuries. Jacobi is the designated New York City Referral Center for the Diver’s Alert Network, providing emergency care for divers with decompression illness.

    Rehabilitation Medicine is a specialty medical service providing the intensive therapies needed for those recovering from a debilitating illness or injury. Our multidisciplinary in and outpatient programs provide a full complement of rehabilitative services. The team of care providers in this service is recognized experts in the field of Rehabilitation Medicine. Our physicians are all board certified Physiatrists, medical doctors with the specialized training required for this unique specialty. This service takes less than 30 minutes, and is available in our emergency department and in many other outpatient areas of the hospital. Patients who do test positive are immediately linked to care provided by our HIV Center, where doctors offer all the latest in HIV/AIDS treatments, services, and support programs.
