Nursing Research Committee

The vision of the Nursing Research Committee is to build a “spirit of inquiry” and support nurses in conducting, translating and disseminating research and evidenced-based nursing practices.

Led by the senior director of nursing research, the committee’s membership represents the health system’s acute care hospitals, post- acute care facilities, diagnostic and ambulatory clinics, community care, correctional health services, nursing informatics, as well as faculty from City University of New York (CUNY).

The committee follows a comprehensive nursing research framework that supports and encourages creation of new knowledge, translation of new knowledge, dissemination of knowledge and facilitates improved care delivery and patient outcomes.

Scientific Review Committee

The goal of the scientific review committee is to review and approve all nursing research, evidence-based practices and quality improvement studies conducted by nursing doctoral students within the NYC Health + Hospitals health system. The committee reviews the studies for quality as well as correct study design prior to institutional review board approval.

This committee supports our RN investigators and contributes to the development of emerging scholars and leaders by providing guidance and mentorship to those pursuing doctoral nursing studies.
