- The First NYS SAFE Center of Excellence: The North Central Bronx (NCB) campus holds the historic distinction of being the first designated New York State SART/SAFE Center of Excellence. This prestigious designation was awarded in explicit recognition of our elite, interdisciplinary care model for sexual assault survivors.
- NYSDOH Rape Crisis Program Designation: Solidifying our role as a vital sanctuary for community care, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) officially designated NCB as an accredited Rape Crisis Program on November 6, 2025.

- STOP Violence Against Women Grant: In 2021, the SART program was awarded the prestigious, five-year federal STOP Violence Against Women grant. This funding has successfully driven extensive educational initiatives, advancing the evaluation, medical management, and forensic treatment of sexual assault patients within acute care settings.
- Regional Sexual Assault Conferences: Demonstrating our role as an academic hub, Emergency Medicine has hosted massive Regional Sexual Assault Conferences (spanning 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025). These hybrid events have consistently brought together well over 200 in-person and virtual attendees per conference, educating clinicians, advocates, and law enforcement personnel across the region.
