Affiliated with the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, the hospital is a major referral center for highly complex cases. Bellevue is a Level I Adult Trauma Center, Comprehensive Cardiac Center, Designated Stroke Center, Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Regional Perinatal Center. In addition to providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, Bellevue is a city-wide medical specialty referral source for the NYC Health + Hospitals network
Bellevue’s Pharmacy Department offers a wide array of services including 24/7 inpatient pharmacy operations, outpatient pharmacy services, and infusion center pharmacy operations. With clinical pharmacy specialists in the fields of Infectious Disease, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Ambulatory Care, Bellevue offers a wide array of experiences designed to develop a broad base of skills for PGY-1 Pharmacy Residents.

PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Longitudinal Experiences
Residents will also have the following longitudinal responsibilities:
- Staffing shifts every other weekend with a project day immediately following each staffing weekend
- Research project with presentation of results at regional and/or national pharmacy conferences
- Participation in hospital-wide committees including Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee
- Completion of a teaching certificate program with opportunities for preceptorship
