The below-noted ACGME memo serves as a guideline for employee trainees (residents and fellows) at all levels requesting medical leave for their own disability, child bonding leave, or care for another family member during the course of their NYC H+H employment. The GME (Graduate Medical Education) program will separately address program-related status impacted by any approved leave.
Please Note: This NYC H+H policy does not cover Dental Residents.
Residents & fellows must submit a current copy of their NYC Health + Hospitals contract along with the necessary request forms noted below.
