The Paid Parental Leave (PPL) policy provides active Group 11 managerial employees with up to 12 calendar weeks of paid time off for the birth of a child, adoption, or foster care placement.
Employees must file for Paid Family Leave (PFL) as a condition of eligibility for PPL. For the purpose of implementing this policy, the effective date of PFL (if eligible) must be for a qualifying event occurring on or after June 30, 2024.

Applying for paid family leave bonding (Form PFL-1) for NYC Health + Hospitals Group 11: Employees
Employees should submit the Applying for Paid Family Leave – Bonding (Form PFL-1) for NYC Health + Hospitals Group 11 Employees to request Paid Parental Leave. To ensure timely processing, you must notify the HRSS Leaves Administration at least 30 days before the leave start date. Please note that the PPL will not be applied retroactively.
Completed forms must be emailed to PPLHRSS@nychhc.org. Upon Receipt of completed documentation, the HRSS Leaves Administration will review and make a determination on the request.
