Children’s Health

NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst offers excellent medical care for children, whether they’re infants, adolescents, or somewhere in-between. We provide a full range of both primary care and specialty pediatric services.

The Pediatric Department at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is responsible for the care provided to all infants, children and adolescents in the inpatient and Ambulatory Care services. The Pediatric Ambulatory Service consists of a total of 12 primary care and subspecialty clinics, including a Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic, Adolescent Services, and a Developmental Clinic.

The Pediatric Inpatient Service cares for all children admitted at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, including those who require general or special surgery. The Pediatric Newborn Service, consisting of 4 nurseries and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, cares for the more than 4,500 infants born at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst each year.
