Jacobi Medical Center has a long-standing reputation for excellence in resident training which is likely due to its talented and compassionate care givers and teachers, exemplified by our Residency Program Director Dr. Robert Friedman. Cassandra Johnson the Residency Coordinator provides significant additional support to ensure that residents have all they need for success. I have witnessed these truths first hand since my recent arrival. The students are exceptional, each with their own unique path that the program works diligently to help them actualize. Beyond the standard curriculum, residents are given opportunities to become leaders, teachers and researchers. The patient population we care for are also critical to the resident’s success. Our diverse community prepares our residents to diagnose diseases from across the globe.
