About the Community Advisory Board (CAB)
NYC Health + Hospitals has 21 Community Advisory Boards (CABs) made up of volunteers who represent our hospitals, long-term care facilities, and Gotham Health centers across New York City.
CAB members serve two-year terms and help ensure that the voices and needs of the communities we serve are represented.
What Do CAB Members Do?
- Give voice to the needs and concerns of their communities
- Raise awareness about health care services available at NYC Health + Hospitals facilities
- Advocate for and help strengthen our public health care system
- Participate in meetings, special events, and community advocacy efforts
