NYC Care supported 2,652 patients with low- and no-cost durable medical equipment to support increased autonomy, reduced risk of injury, improved quality of life, and better pain management

Dr. Jonathan Jiménez, MD, MPH, Executive Director of NYC Care and Family Physician, and Dr. Rosy Thachil, MD, MBA, FACC, FAMWA, FACVC, Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, are recognized as health care trailblazers for their commitment to advancing health care equity for New York City’s underserved communities

Tabling at Ecuadorian, Guatemalan, Colombian, and Mexican consulates is geared to educate immigrant New Yorkers about NYC Care and promote health literacy

Dr. Jiménez is recognized for his leadership and excellence in public health and the contributions he has made to both the Columbia University and greater Latinx communities

The truck will travel across the five boroughs to encourage NYC Care-eligible New Yorkers to enroll and access health care
