From routine pap tests to post-menopausal care, our patient-centered service provides easy access to appointments, with an on-site clinical pharmacy, diagnostic laboratory and imaging center. A state-of-the art electronic patient information system ensures timely and accurate medical records.
In addition to the services offered in our comprehensive women’s health center, Gouverneur offers several wellness programs with the Department of Medicine that focus on healthy living and chronic disease management. These include asthma, diabetes, weight management, nutritional counseling and smoking cessation. Women who participate in our wellness programs have access to special workshops and support groups that emphasize the connection between mind, body and health.
Gouverneur is committed to ensuring that women have access to affordable, high quality healthcare services, regardless of ability to pay. Free or low-cost services are available through our participation in the Federal Title X Program, New York State Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), Family Health Plus and NYC Health + Hospitals Options Program.

NYC Health + Hospitals facilities offer comprehensive and confidential care for women that includes contraceptive counseling, management of pregnancy loss, and elective pregnancy termination. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment. Please contact our patient care locations to find the services available. We are dedicated to offering contraceptive services without regard for your ability to pay. In New York State, women under 18 years of age do NOT need parental consent.
