Test & Trace Corps

The NYC Test & Trace Corps is a public health initiative established to fight COVID-19 composed of doctors, public health professionals and community advocates.

The public health program is led by NYC Health + Hospitals in close collaboration with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, other city agencies, and community-based organizations.

Through its robust citywide partnerships, the NYC Test & Trace Corps provides New Yorkers with confidential, no-cost testing for COVID-19 and ensures that anyone with the virus receives care, and can safely isolate to prevent the spread. While the contact tracing program ended in April 2022, New Yorkers who test positive or were exposed to COVID-19 can still call 212-COVID-19 (212-268-4319) or use the COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Guidance Tool to receive personalized guidance that fits their specific circumstances. The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will continue to perform case investigation and contact tracing in specific settings and groups at increased risk.
