Komal Bajaj, MD, MS-HPEd is Clinical Director of The Simulation Center and Associate Director of the Simulation Fellowship program. She is an OB/GYN-Geneticist and Chief Quality Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. She is an Associate Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and she has lectured/published extensively. Komal’s research interests include in-situ simulation, healthcare safety/quality, cognitive aids such as checklists, and challenging conversations. Komal is adjunct faculty at Harvard’s Center for Medical Simulation.
Komal attended Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and completed her OB-GYN residency training at Northwestern University, followed by a fellowship in Medical Genetics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Komal received her Master’s in Health Professional Education from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions. She has completed the GNYHA Clinical Quality Fellowship Program. She is a board-certified OB-GYN and Clinical Geneticist based at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
