Katie is the Assistant Vice President & Director of The Simulation Center. Prior to this appointment in December 2011, she was the Program Manager for the development and establishment of a national simulation program in Australia. She co-convened the 2010 International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare in Phoenix, Arizona, the first Asia-Pacific meeting on Simulation in Healthcare in Hong Kong in May 2011 and is the current Secretary of the International Society for Simulation in Healthcare. She has a nursing background and a Master’s degree in International Business. Her research interests include using simulation as a change agent to improve the patient experience.
