Adrienne Birnbaum, MD, MS is Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine and is a senior faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. She has served on the faculty of The Simulation Center since 2013. She is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and holds an academic appointment of Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from Einstein, completed residency training in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Jacobi and Montefiore Medical Centers and obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Research in the Clinical Research Training Program at Einstein. Dr. Birnbaum previously served as residency director in Emergency Medicine and more recently has been engaged in clinical research as a Principal Investigator of two NIH-funded research projects. She has a strong interest in simulation-related research.
