Rebecca Linn-Walton, PhD, LCSW
Senior Assistant Vice President, Office of Behavioral Health, NYC Health + Hospitals

Dr. Rebecca Linn-Walton, PhD, LCSW, is a Senior Assistant Vice President in the Office of Behavioral Health at NYC Health + Hospitals, where she has worked since 2018. She oversees Substance Use Services and Mayoral initiative programming. Her work includes development, implementation, and evaluation of services for patients struggling with substance use, mental health diagnoses, and co-occurring housing insecurity, as well as workforce development. 

Prior to NYC H+H, Dr. Linn-Walton worked in the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice where she oversaw research in community and domestic violence initiatives. She has worked as a child, family, and adult therapist, researcher, adjunct professor, and served on the Mayor’s Cannabis Legalization and Crisis Response task forces. Her focus is the intersection between trauma, substance use, mental illness, family and gender-based violence, homelessness, and its impact on children, families, and adults. Dr. Linn-Walton also works to eliminate barriers to care due to stigma through use of her lived experience in recovery and as a clinician to inform work in programming, policy, and research.
