No, we do not offer pre-match positions.
Are there opportunities to teach/supervise medical students?
We are a teaching campus for three medical schools; the CUNY, New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) and St. George’s University School of Medicine. During the majority of time spent on the general psychiatry units, there will be 1-2 medical students. We expect the residents to teach and supervise the medical students. We are rated by the students as being one of their finest learning experiences.
How much autonomy is given to the residents to make clinical decisions?
The importance of resident autonomy is one of the most valued aspects of our program. As residents advance through their training, they are given more autonomy. Upon graduation, our residents will be confident in their clinical and decision-making skills, even with the most acutely ill patients.
Does the program have attending coverage 24/7?
Yes, at all times there is an attending on service.
Are residents allowed to moonlight?

Does your program sponsor visas?
No, not at this time.
Do you offer observerships or externships?
Yes, on a case by case basis for extraordinary candidates.
