NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln Now Offering Pediatric Urology Care
Dr. Lori Dyer brings new subspecialty to the South Bronx community
Oct 13, 2026

Bronx, NY – NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln today announced the addition of Pediatric Urology to the medical services it provides. Fellowship-trained and board-certified Pediatric Urologist Lori Dyer, MD, has joined the Department of Urology at Lincoln Hospital, expanding its ability to provide comprehensive pediatric urologic care to children and families throughout the South Bronx and surrounding communities.
Pediatric Urology focuses on diagnosing, treating and managing conditions or disorders in a child’s bladder, kidneys, urinary tract, or reproductive organs and continuing care for adolescents and adults with these kinds of conditions or disorders that began in childhood. Some of these conditions can be present at birth or detected prenatally, while others can occur or develop as a child grows. Prior to this subspecialty coming to Lincoln Hospital, young patients in the South Bronx in need of this kind of care had to travel out of the community for treatment.
Dr. Dyer is a highly experienced, board-certified urologist and pediatric urologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience caring for children with a broad range of urologic conditions. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College, completed training in general surgery and urology at Westchester Medical Center, and went on to complete specialized fellowship training in pediatric urology at Schneider Children’s Hospital. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in pediatric urologic practice, research, and the surgical management of both common and complex conditions.
“Dr. Dyer brings exactly the kind of specialized, child-focused expertise that we at Lincoln Hospital strive to deliver,” said Lewis Marshall, MD, Chief Medical Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. “Her arrival reflects our commitment to bringing comprehensive, high-quality pediatric care to the South Bronx so our kids can get the care they need closer to home, from a team that already knows them. We’re thrilled to welcome her to Lincoln Hospital.”
With Dr. Dyer joining the team, Lincoln Hospital is now able to offer full, comprehensive pediatric urology consultation, evaluation, treatment, and surgical care. This includes the management of congenital and acquired urologic conditions, urinary and voiding disorders, and other pediatric urologic concerns requiring specialized medical or surgical evaluation. Her addition to the medical team represents an important expansion of the services available to pediatric patients and creates new opportunities for collaboration among Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Primary Care, and other departments throughout the hospital as well as providers in the community.
“I am delighted to be joining the medical staff at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and look forward to working together to provide accessible, high-quality pediatric urologic care to our patients and families,” said Dr. Lori Dyer. “One of the most important things a parent can do is ensure that their child keeps regular appointments with their pediatrician. If your pediatrician notices something that may not be right with your child’s urinary habits or reproductive organs, they may recommend you come and see me.”
Dr. Dyer is accepting new patients via referral. Current Lincoln Hospital patients should see their pediatrician, or other primary care provider to schedule an appointment. Non-Lincoln Hospital providers can refer their patients by calling 718-579-5710.
