NYC Health + Hospitals Honors Superior Physicians During Annual “Doctors’ Day” Celebration

May 24, 2016

New York, NY

Dr. Ram Raju, President and CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals, today recognized 23 physicians representing all five boroughs for excellence and their commitment to patient care. “Doctors’ Day” is an annual celebration honoring physicians from across the health system who go above and beyond to meet the needs of each and every patient.
Physicians from the health system’s hospitals, community health centers, and its MetroPlusHealth Health Plan were recognized for leadership and commitment to providing the highest quality health care to New Yorkers. The physicians honored today also represent NYC Health + Hospitals’ diverse workforce and ability to provide culturally competent care with the knowledge and sensitivity required to care for all without exception.
“Today’s honorees are examples of the skill, dedication, and compassion that make up the bounty of physicians who provide excellent care and experiences for our patients and their families each day,” said Dr. Ram Raju. “I am extremely grateful for their talents and for their devotion to helping the most vulnerable New Yorkers live their healthiest lives possible.”
The award-winning physicians represent New York City residents’ diverse ethnicity, and vary in age, education, specialties, and years of service. See program and honoree bios: /insider/2016-Doc-Day.pdf.
