NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, Judson Continues to Provide Urgent Sexual/Reproductive Care, LGBTQ Affirming Services, and Mental Health Support During COVID-19

Adhering to social distancing directive, patients will receive a comprehensive telephonic assessment, followed by in-person appointments as medically necessary

NYC Health + Hospitals today announced that NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, Judson will continue to provide urgent sexual/reproductive care, LGBTQ affirming services, and mental health support for New York City’s adolescents and emerging adults during the COVID-19 emergency. Adhering to the social distancing directive and to ensure the safety of our staff and patients, those wanting to access these services should first call 212-925-5000 to receive a comprehensive telephonic assessment. An in-person appointment with a healthcare provider will then be scheduled as medically necessary.

“As COVID-19 reached the US, NYC Health + Hospitals was committed to providing the healthcare New Yorkers needed, at the right time and the right setting to ensure their safety,” said Michelle Lewis, CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. “As New Yorkers experience a reduction of some healthcare services due to the Coronavirus pandemic, NYC Health + Hospitals understands the importance of continuing to reach LGBTQ communities.”

The following services are being provided over telephonic visits at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, Judson, with medical in-person appointments being scheduled as clinically appropriate:

  • STI testing and treatment
  • Emergency contraception and birth control
  • PrEP/PEP
  • Urgent GYN needs
  • Gender affirming care, including hormone therapy
  • Pregnancy testing and options counseling
  • Mental health support

NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, Judson services are being temporarily relocated to Gotham Health, Gouverneur located at 227 Madison Street, New York, NY during the COVID -19 pandemic. To access services, please call 212-925-5000 (after the language prompt, press 3 to speak with a nurse).
