First Baby of 2019 Born at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem

New York City’s public health system welcomed its first baby of 2019 this morning at 12:56 a.m. at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, in Manhattan. The baby girl weighs 7 lbs. 8 oz. and measures 50 cm. Génesis Elisa Noriega was born to mother Maria Contreras and Gabino Noriega, of Harlem. Génesis is the couple’s third child.
Seven minutes later, at 1:03 a.m., baby girl Kyrie Clarke was born at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, in the Bronx. Born to mother Shyvonne McDonald and father Shacquelle Clarke, weighing 9 lbs., and measuring 51.5 cm, Kyrie is benefiting from care in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
