Dr. Ram Raju, President and CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals has placed #24 on Modern Healthcare‘s 2016 “50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders.” This is his fourth consecutive year ranking among the top half of this annual list.
Dr. Raju was appointed president and CEO of the essential public health care system in March 2014 and has since embarked on his Vision 2020 plan to transform NYC Health + Hospitals to improve the patient experience, expand access to care, and build the foundation for growth and long-term financial stability. He is an experienced vascular and trauma surgeon who committed his career to supporting and defending the mission of public hospitals, and is passionate about eliminating health disparities suffered by underserved populations in New York City and across the country.
