Brooklyn, NY

NYC Health + Hospitals announced today that David Weinstein has been appointed chief executive officer of NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney, a 320-bed post-acute care facility in Brooklyn. Mr. Weinstein had been serving as the facility’s interim CEO since February.

Mr. Weinstein has served in a number of senior level management positions in mission-driven patient care facilities in New York. His career spans more than 30 years, with notable stints as chief operating officer at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale and chief executive officer at Daughters of Sarah Senior Community in Albany. Most recently, he provided consultant services to the University of Vermont Health Services at Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital, developing a strategic plan to convert a 96-bed transitional care unit into a modernized 38-bed post-acute facility.

“We are very fortunate to have David Weinstein fill this important leadership role at NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney,” said Maureen McClusky, senior vice president for post-acute care at NYC Health + Hospitals. “David’s extensive experience in post-acute care combined with his list of significant accomplishments helps ensure NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney’s future growth and success.”

“At NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney, we are proud to offer a home away from home for those in need of long-term care and support,” said Mr. Weinstein. “Our expert clinical teams are there every step of the way to help residents heal, recover, and maintain the highest quality of life.”
