MetroPlusHealth Health Plan was ranked as the number #1 Managed Care Plan in New York City in Quality and Patient Satisfaction in the Consumer’s Guide to Medicaid Managed Care in NYC, issued by the New York State Department of Health.
This new achievement makes MetroPlusHealth Health Plan the #1 plan in New York City based on quality of services and customer satisfaction for seven out of the last eight years, making it to the top for the last four years in a row.
The ratings that make this ranking are based on a comparison of plan rates to statewide averages, with quality measures based on information submitted by the plans, and patient satisfaction ratings obtained from a member survey conducted by the NYS Department of Health.
According to the latest report, MetroPlusHealth was ranked once again as one of the best Medicaid Managed Health Care Plan in New York City, this year, along with Neighborhood Health Providers and HIP (Emblem Health). This report shows MetroPlusHealth performing over all plans in the City in areas of Child and Adolescent Health, Adult Preventive Care, and achieving the maximum score in areas of Women’s Preventive Care and Cardiovascular Care.
“Through these results, MetroPlusHealth Health Plan proves again its relentless commitment to providing members with high quality care and customer satisfaction,” said MetroPlusHealth President & CEO, Dr. Arnold Saperstein. “I am very proud of the unwavering efforts of all MetroPlusHealth’ staff, and of what we have been able to accomplish in partnership with the New York Health and Hospital Corporation ensuring that each and every New Yorker receives the care they need.”
This year’s distinction comes to complement MetroPlusHealth’ last year’s ranking as the best Medicaid Managed Health Care Plan in New York State, among over 15 public and private managed care plans, reaching the maximum score of 100 quality points and becoming the only plan in the State to achieve the maximum reward offered by the State Quality Incentive Awards Program.
