Gregory Calliste is an accomplished healthcare administrator with a successful career as a hospital executive for over thirty years. His hospital leadership positions include: current job as Chief Executive Officer of NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull in Brooklyn, NY; Chief Executive Officer of NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx, NY; Chief Administrative Officer/Senior Vice President at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital/Continuum Health Partners/Mount Sinai Health System in Manhattan, NY; President/Chief Executive Officer of Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center in the U.S. Virgin Islands; Chief Executive Officer of New Orleans General Hospital, New Orleans, LA; Network Deputy Executive Director at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, Brooklyn, NY; Director of Administrative and Support Services at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, Brooklyn, NY.

For over fifteen years he was also an Adjunct Professor/Instructor at several graduate and undergraduate institutions including St. Joseph’s College, NY; College of New Rochelle, NY; and State University of New York/Downstate, NY; and taught classes in business and health administration. He has also been mentor and role model for many health administrators, fellows and students at several health care organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the National Association of Health Services Executives, the American Hospital Association, and the Greater New York Hospital Association.

Mr. Calliste has been recognized for his excellent leadership performance by many organizations including: Crain’s NY as a Notable Black Leader and Executive (2022), as well as a Notable in Healthcare (2021); City and State on its Brooklyn Power 50/100 list for the past four years (2021, 2020, 2019, 2018) as one of the most influential persons in Brooklyn; Schneps Media as a Healthcare Hero (2020); Brooklyn Eagle as a Black History Month Champion (2019); and many more.

Academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from New York Institute of Technology; a Masters (MS) in Public Health from Columbia University. He is also a Certified Healthcare Executive and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
