Carol White is Chief Strategy Officer at New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst.
Ms. White supports Elmhurst’s strategic vision through alignment, new business development and existing business expansion.
For more than 30 years, Ms. White has served in various leadership roles at Elmhurst, facilitating multidisciplinary teams with a focus on strategic improvements. Her career has included leadership roles in Ambulatory Care and Inpatient Services, as well as Information Technology and Workforce Development. She also served as Regional Director of Human Resources for the Queens Health Network consisting of Elmhurst and Queens Hospital Centers. Throughout her career, Ms. White has sharpened her skills in continuous learning, strategic planning and performance improvement.
She is married to Clyde White and is the proud mother of 2 daughters, Lauren and Michelle. Navigating the unique healthcare needs of her family has greatly influenced Ms. White’s commitment to person centered care. She has served as a peer advocate for families affected by cancer, craniofacial conditions and learning challenges.
Ms. White earned a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ithaca College, and a certificate in Human Resources from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
