It’s also the leader in asthma-related hospitalizations and deaths. At NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx, we offer a multidisciplinary approach to controlling asthma and allergies. By combining medications with careful, ongoing monitoring, education, and counseling for patient and family, we aim to reach our goal of reducing or eliminating acute asthma episodes and help our patients achieve and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.

Pediatric Weight Management
The Family Weight Management Program evaluates and provides care for overweight children and their families. Our bilingual staff includes pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, physical therapists, social workers, and psychologists. We work with each family in a positive, supportive and enjoyable atmosphere. Our program promotes general health and long-term weight management through medical management, family nutritional education, and fun physical activity programs.
