Anita Soni, MD Named Chief Medical Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln

Anita Soni, MD, has been appointed Chief Medical Officer for NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.

Dr. Soni received her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India and became a resident at Lincoln in 1980, remaining as an attending physician after graduating and becoming Director of its Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in 1988. In 1997 Dr. Soni was appointed Chair of the Department of Medicine at Lincoln.

Dr. Soni has served before as Chief Medical Officer, from 2007 to 2009, and also as interim Chief Medical Officer from 2015 to 2016.

Having served Lincoln and the South Bronx community for 36 years, she is uniquely qualified for this assignment.
