NYC Health + Hospitals' Doctors' Day Celebration Recognizes 23 Physicians From Across Its Health System
This year's honorees include primary care physicians, psychiatrists, pediatricians, and ER doctors.

NYC Health + Hospitals today honored 23 physicians during its annual “Doctors’ Day” celebration. Physicians from the health system’s hospitals, community health centers, and post-acute care facilities were recognized for being highly skilled, mission-driven physicians dedicated to advancing public health. Reflecting a range of specialties and years of service, the award-winning physicians were drawn from NYC Health + Hospitals’ multi-ethnic and multi-cultural workforce, showcasing the health system’s strength in providing culturally competent care to all, without exception. The ceremony was held at Baruch College, with honorees surrounded by close family and friends.
“Every day the physicians at NYC Health + Hospitals ensure that New Yorkers – their patients – are living their healthiest lives,” said Mitchell Katz, MD, President and CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals. “The 23 physicians that we recognize today are nominated by their peers and represent the heart of our health system. They embody our mission to care for all, without exception, and regardless of income, immigration or insurance status. Congratulations to all our honorees.”
