Our Pediatric Emergency Department emerged after Super Storm Sandy almost double its previous size. Now with its own triage area and new waiting room, the Pediatric Emergency Department also has in isolation room and a start of the art trauma and resuscitation room.
The Pediatric Emergency Department is staffed by a pediatric attending physician 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Children are seen in an area separate from adults where they pediatricians and registered nurses are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
