NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter does not restrict, limit or otherwise deny visitation privileges based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability. Patients may withdraw or deny consent to visitation to anyone at any time.

Under guidance from CMS NYSDOH, the facility reserves the right to limit visitation during safety or health emergencies.

COVID-19 tests are available FREE at all NYC Health + Hospitals testing sites. Insurance is not required to receive a free COVID-19 test or an antibody test at any NYC Health + Hospitals location. If patients have insurance, we bill the insurer directly and never charge a co-pay or co-insurance.
